A few months back, I bought my first Golden Goose sneakers (you might remember seeing them in a recent post), and have been asked a lot about them ever since. So many that I thought it was time for a full review! I’ve also worn them enough now that I understand how they really perform, and a variety of other factors about them, which you’ll see broken down further.

I spotted mine on sale via Cettire and purchased them that way!

I’d say they fit just right, based on my pair.

They required minimal break-in time..
Do they hold up well?
Since they come pre-distressed, I didn’t worry about getting them dirty. I’ve worn them all over the city, and I’m impressed with the durability. Nothing has torn, and the shape stayed solid. Thanks to the vintage look, I can’t even tell if there’s new wear and tear.
Do they feel better than other shoes?
They’re the highest quality sneakers I have. I love my Vejas and Tretorns, but Golden Goose are just on another level. They have a hidden arch lift that adds a little height — making your legs look longer. Also, they’re crafted individually, so each pair is one of a kind. And the sparkle on mine? Absolutely gorgeous.
Are they worth it?
Totally! Just try not to pay full price. They cost a lot, so getting them on sale is a better idea. Still, I think they’re worth a few hundred bucks, especially if you get a pair you love. Mine have pink glitter, but a neutral version would also go with everything.

They ran true to size for me — I usually wear a size 6, and I went with a European 36. Since they keep their shape and they don’t come in half sizes, I’d choose the larger option.
